Social Media Campaign Collaboration is Finalist in National Awards

A social media campaign that Marvellous PR and Plymouth based brand communications agency, Just Enough Brave, collaborated on, has been announced as finalists in both the Western Morning Business Awards as well as The UK Digital Entrepreneur Awards, celebrating the best digital talent in the UK.

The two companies devised a marketing campaign for Helmores Estate Agents in Crediton and have been selected for the Social Media Campaign of the Year in the UK Digital Awards and as for the Communication category in the Western Morning News Business Awards.

The UK Digital Entrepreneur Awards in association with UKFast, are the longest-standing national tech awards in Britain. Now in their 15th year, they have been a springboard to success for many of the web’s pioneers, underlining their hard-work and innovation.

The campaign for Helmores was designed to attract more properties at the first time buyer end of the market as the community has begun to think of the estate agency as one that only sold big farmsteads, large estates and family homes. The social media and print campaign was designed to increase the number of properties sold through the estate agency that were suitable for First Time Buyers, and increase the footfall of First Time Buyers themselves.

The campaign was a runaway success. Helmores’ share of properties below £200K increased by 26% in six months. In EX17 their market share rose from number 6 to number 3 and they had over 909 social engagements over the course of the two-month campaign; 452 more than their closest first-time buyer competitor.

Dave Smith, Creative Director of Just Enough Brave, said: “The property sector is not exactly renowned for its creativity but Helmores understood the importance of engaging their social media following. We are very proud of the campaign’s success – and it is even more rewarding for the project to be recognised by our peers.”

Bracken Jelier, PR and Social Media Manager at Marvellous PR who collaborated on the project said: “I love working with talented and creative people like Dave at Just Enough Brave on social media campaigns – and working with Helmores is very rewarding as they are always up for new ideas and concepts. Dave and I were keen to do something very ‘different’ for them – and it’s really satisfying to see that the campaign did what we wanted it to for the business and it has been recognised in this way.”

The judges at the The UK Digital Entrepreneur Awards are looking for outstanding achievements in the digital industry, both hidden gems and high-profile success. In the finals they will consider every component of a successful online business, from enigmatic leadership to forward-thinking development and cutting-edge creative.

Bill Martin, Reach Devon and Cornwall’s editor-in-chief, chaired the panel of judges for the Western Morning News Awards. He said: “I think we have produced a shortlist that is a credit to the region, and one that it can be rightly proud of.”

Rob Stoyle, owner of multi-award winning Helmores Estate Agents said: “I was utterly delighted with the results of the social media campaign – and to see it shortlisted for both of these prestigious awards is fantastic. Over the years we have become known for our cutting edge marketing, our drone film and photography and lately for our social media. Working with Dave and Bracken has been a big part of this – I’d recommend them to anyone!”
